My Everyday Life Layout DT work for ***The Dusty Attic*** + Playing at ***7 Dots Studio***!

Goodmorning lovelies,
Today I have a really colorful layout to share with you and so totally out of my comfortzone. When I saw the new challenge over at the "7 Dots Studio" I was instandly hooked on the idea of making something about my "Daily Routines". For me something I do every single day is putting my glasses on my face otherwise I don't see shit hehe. I also work with glasses everyday as I am a optician which I can say is a daily routine also. So what better way then to use some pictures of frames on my layout. That by the way was really weird since I never scrap things but places and people. This layout I created for my DT work over at "The Dusty Attic"!

My Everyday Life:
I am not such a super fan of orange but I got some amazing flowers by 49 and market which totally fitted the pretty "Cotton Candy Dreams" papers by 7 Dots Studio. For this layout I haven't used as many chipboard pieces as I normally do but sometimes I like to challenge myself and use not so much. {I hoard my chippies because I love them sooo much lol}

The chipboard pieces are treated with gesso, spray's and Dusty Attic acrylic paints {these paints are the best} I also used some spray's and stamps to make my background and added some flairs to compliment my work. The pretty pictures are from pinterest and I printed them in different sizes and if you know me a little you know that I almost never use more then two pictures so this one was a real challenge.

To complete my layout I added some metal embellishments two cute pilot frames, a heart and a adorable binocular. I also used some glass glitter and some aqua mini prills. The chipboard piece "Our Everyday Life" I took the *our* part away and added *my* from another phrase chippie.

With this layout I will be entering this months challenge at the "7 Dots Studio" blog. This month it's about "Daily Routines" and that got me working out my comfort zone with different colors, multiple pictures and not people or places but things. Thank you for the great theme 7 Dots Studio! Here is the picture of inspiration:

You are the best FATHER ever Layout for ***49 and Market*** and Playing at ***More Than Words*** & ***Mixed Media & Art***!

Hello lovelies,
For today I am sharing another 12x12 layout but this time it´s a masculine one, I find making those very hard because I really like to use flowers on my work especially when they are from 49 and Market. When I saw this months challenge over at More Than Words "steampunk & father" I was sold and wanted to create a layout using a picture of my husband and son. For this layout I used three collections "Flower Fairies of Spring", "Vintage Artistry" and "Scents of Nature"and a whole bunch of chipboard pieces by The Dusty Attic and metal embellishments like gears, clocks and hearts.

Your are the best FATHER ever:
I had so much fun creating this layout but it took me a long time to make it. Normally it takes me five hours to complete a layout this one took me eight I think it's because there is so much chipboard on it that I had to make steampunk and aged. The pictures are from about seven years ago taken on the beach in my country.

Up in the right corner I aged a prima rasin frame with the amazing new waxes by Finnabair oh boy how I love that stuff and it smells very good too. When I treated my gears corner I placed it on a blue colored sheet from the "Scents of Nature"collection because I wanted to add more color. When I think of steampunk I always think about the colors black, orange and brown but you can add all colors you prefer any color looks amazing on a steampunk layout.

I took out a whole bunch of metal embellishments that I all used on my work, at the end of my creating I added some micro beads and some prills. But before that I stamped on the edges of my layout to later on distress it. Two days ago I bought a whole bunch of new metal goodies for really cheap that I used it right away on my layout.

49 and Market products used: Flower fairies of spring: At the Quarry Sheet, Vintage Artistry: Tattered Sheet, Scents of Nature: Beauty Abound, Floral Mixology Mudslide / Ocean Breeze and Emerald Isle, Gabi's Grunge Texture Stamp Set, Gabi's Crackle Texture Stamp Set, Gabi's Patterned Texture Stamp Set.

Other products used: Dusty Attic chipboard, Stencils, Paste, Rust Paste, Lindy’s Stamps Gang sprays and embossing powders, Stamps, Mica Powders, Metallique wax, Antique wax, Clear gesso, Gesso black & white, Ink.

With this layout I will be entering this months challenge at the More Than Words blog, the challenge is all about Father & Steampunk. I find it hard to make layouts like this expecially when they are without flowers....so I did added flowers I just could not help myself *grin*. Let's have a look at their beautiful mood board:
Also I will be entering this months challenge at the Mixed Media and Art blog where the also have an amazing mood board that is very similar to the mood board above with lots of yellow {but I did not use yellow sorry but I used the sketch in a different way. Let look at their challenge board:
Thank you so much for your visit today I hope you enjoyed my post and are inspired by it to use your 49 and Market goodies… have a lovely day and weekend.

Thank You Beautiful Tag for ***Cheery Lynn Designs*** & Challenge Reminder June for ***CraftAddiction***

Goodmorning lovelies.
Today I am sharing another tag with you all. This tag I made for the challenge reminder at the "CraftAddiction" blog and for Cheery Lynn Designs DT work. I am totally hooked on making tags at the moment! This time I used three Maja Design collections to make my tag. The green shades are from both "Vintage Autumn Basics"& "Summertime"collections and the rest of the card is made with my favorite the "Nyhavn" collection. It's kind of an Autumn card I think because I used berries and other Autumn elements like cones and a lot of leaf dies.

Thank You Beautiful:
I just really love all the leaf dies Cheery Lynn Designs offers and I used a whole bunch of them on my tag. They are great for layering and to use in your flower clusters. For this tag I cut out the wreaths, both the Halloween and the Joy to the World and layered them on top of each other for dimension.  Then underneath I added another paper sheet from the "Nyhavn"collection and lifted it with foam tape.

Then I added some white berries and twigs on the right side of my tag for fill along with layers of leaves and flowers at the end. The center of my flower is not handmade but I am going to make them in the near future myself. Lately I am also really loving to add flairs to my work especially the flair from Cuts2luv they are amazing to work with and they have great designs too.
Cheery Lynn Design dies used:

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today!
I hope you enjoyed my post and I have inspired you to use your Cheery Lynn Designs dies and play in this months challenge at the "CraftAddiction" blog {use at least three flowers} on your project.
Have a wonderful and lovely day!

Salt in the air & Sand in my hair Layout for ***49 and Market*** & ***The Dusty Attic*** and playing at *Mixed Media Place*, *Lindy's Stamp Gang* and *13 Arts*!!

Hello lovely friends,
Today I have created a layout with the pretty new Sand and Sea collection. What I really love about this collection is that it has such pretty pastel colors in it, and the designing is endless as you can do so much and you don't even have to make layouts, altered ard or cards in a beach theme. For this layout I tried a mixed media technique that exists for quite a while now and that is speaying on a piece of plastic and then place it on you background sheet and you do that with different colors as I did on this layout.

Salt in the air & Sand in my hair:
I tore the right corner piece from the Coral Reef sheet and placed that on the Beach This Way sheet. I also added a little piece of that same paper sheet on the top of my layout. Later when I treated my background with clear gesso I added the sprays with that technique I told you earlier when I finished that, I stamped and used a stencil and some paste to my work. Then I worked my way up with the flower cluster.
This layout is based on this months mood board at The Dusty Attic blog {we would love for you to enter the challenge you could win $100 worth of beautiful chippies} for those of you that haven't seen the board jet here it is....

All the chipboard pieces are off course by The Dusty Attic and treated with different acrylic paints, waxes, spray's and paste's. I just heard about the new waxes by finnabair and I have to tell you they totally rock and are wonderful to use. The seagulls I painted with different acrylic paints by The Dusty Attic and I tried to let them look like real seagulls {I just took a picture from the net} and it worked out pretty well I think ;-) At the end I added some sea shells to compliment my flowerclusters.

As you can see I also cut out the tree trunks from the 8x8 paper pad and added those in between both seagulls and also next to them. In my flower cluster I also added a flair from "Cuts2luv" where my sweet design team buddy Valerie Ouellet designs for not only she is in their DT but she also designs flairs as she also designs stamps for 49 and Market she is such a talented lady.

49 and Market products used:
Sand and Sea Collection: Beach This Way, Coral Reef, Sand and Sea 8x8 paper pad, Garden  Blooms Pale Lavender, Garden Vine Pale Lavender, Vintage Shades Cerise Bouquet, Vintage Shades Sage Bouquet, Vintage Shades Blue Blossoms, Vintage Shades Cerise Blossoms Floral Mixology Mojito, Georgie's with all your heart stamp set.

The Dusty Attic products used:
Dusty Attic chipboard pieces: DA1570 Ornate Frame #5, DA1042 Seagulls, DA1752 Salt in the air..., DA1496 Fishnet #2 Stencil, DA1764 Confetti #2 Stencil, DA Paste, several acrylic paints

Other products used:
Rust Paste, Lindy’s Stamps Gang sprays and embossing powders, Stamps, Mica Powders, Cheese cloth, Gesso, Ink.

With this layout I will be entering this months challenge at Mixed Media Place blog they have a wonderful and soft toned mood board which is I really love let's have a look: I gave my layout that beachy feel and was inspired my the lower picture on the left and the colors from the other pictures.
Mixed Media Products used:
Ruste Effect Paste - the brown one
3D Matte Gel
Metallique Wax - Brushed Iron

And I also will be entering in this months challenge at "Lindy's Stamp Gang" they have such a great color challenge this month with a bunch of my favorite colors let's have a look:
As I said in my text above I used several of the Lindy's Stamp Gang products. On this layout I used a new technique {for me new} some sort of watercoloring with plastic packaging and it worked out great the colors go so well together and they look just like the papers I used.
Thank you so much for your visit today I hope you enjoyed my post and are inspired by it to use your 49 and Market goodies… have a lovely day and weekend.

Paradise Layout for ***Maja Design*** and playing at ***Cuts2luv***!

Goodmorning lovelies,
For today I have another layout to share and this time it's a mixed media layout using a bunch of mixed media techniques. When I was ready with my layout a little disaster happened half a bottle of Lindy's Stamp Gang's blazing black spray's fell all over the lower left corner of my layout. Oeh la la that never happened to me before but "hey" that happens when you do not close the cap of the bottle after using it. Luckily I could fix it only not really like I intended to be....but I am very happy with the result.

Paradise:
I really love all the darker & white/grey papers Maja Design offers but I wish they had more because sometimes I really love to make something outside my comfort zone like this layout is. For this layout I used four collections Nyhavn, Crea Diem, Sommatider and Vintage Spring Basics. This time I choose two other colors to compliment my work teal and yellow. The butterflies are stamped on the white Sitting at the dock sheet from the Nyhavn collection. Then I painted them with "Azure Sea Asters" starburst spray's from Lindy's Stamp Gang en then I cut them out.

The flowers are by Prima Marketing and 49 and Market. For the first time in a long while I haven't used any chipboard on my work wow I just saw that now lol.....I also added two flairs from "Cuts2luv and a metal plate with the word paradise on it. I am a real sucker for the beach so as you can imagine this looks like paradise to me since I moved more then an hour from the nearest beach I sometimes dream I am there "My Paradise"!

On the background of my layout I used a different mixed media technique then I normally do. I took a piece of plastic packaging and sprayed on top of that plastic and then placed it on my paper sheet then you get kind of a messy watercoloring spots on your work. I did that with the teal color but also with a yellow/gold spray. Then I stamped on top of that with different stamp sets by 49 and Market. Then I matted my picture and cut out six different sizes of squares in three pairs of two of the same papers....Kann Dig Sjalv {Crea Diem}, 1st of March {Vintage Spring Basics} and Baslakan {Sommatider}!

Maja Design papers used: Sitting at the dock {Nyhavn}, Badlakan {Sommartider}, 1st of March {Vintage Spring Basics} and Kann Dig Sjalv {Crea Diem}

With this layout I will be enting in the June challenge at the "Cuts2luv" blog. This time they have a bright color mood board with blue, teal, yellow, grey and light orange. And also a wonderful sketch which I also followed. I only did not use the tittle that was asked but I used the rest is very clear right? This is going to be the third time entering because I just love their flairs so much on my layout I used two "Small Seeds of Happiness"on the right and on the left "Be True"!
Thank you so much for visiting my blog today, I hope I have inspired you to play along in any challenge with your amazing works of art. Have a wonderful and sunny day and weekend.
